We want every animator and game developer to have powerful and easy-to-use tools for automatically generating realistic and artistically expressive character animations. WalkXycle is an add-on to Blender and Maya and is our first product for doing just that. It uses a parametrised internal model of a humanoid biped motion cycle – extracted from a mocap or manually created sample – to generate pose sequences based on a character’s path and speed. Animators can also view and edit model parameters to change the style of motion.
WalkXycle specifically addresses humanoid biped walking gaits. We’re already working on running and other gaits, and models for non-bipeds for future products. We'll keep pushing the limits on functionality, ease of use, character design, libraries of examples and templates – everything we can think of to make you as productive as possible.
