A market exists for two way translation communication devices throughout the world. The average person is not bilingual and those who are bilingual still face a communication barrier with people of numerous language backgrounds. Let us take for an example a person that has ability to speak the top five languages of the world (which probably exists) those being Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, English, Hindi and Arabic. This person even with their extraordinary language skills would still be unable to communicate with people who spoke Portuguese, Bengali, Russian, Japanese and numerous other languages. The estimated number of languages spoken by the average person ranges from 1.58 to 1.69. So the average person speaks only one or two languages (and this average does not take into consideration polyglots or people who speak several languages) which if we take into consideration the top 20 languages in the world, they have an inability to directly communicate with 18 to 19 groups of people with a different native language than themselves. This does not take into consideration the fact that there are 100’s of languages on the planet. This technology and program will not only help people communicate with one another on a personal and social level but also allow for more communication in the business world. Imagine the potential for a business to expand their customer base if they were better able to communicate with people of several languages.

Proposed Business

We will develop, market and sell the following products; two way language translation communication software programs ranging from instant messaging, texting and two telephone communication products. This technology expanded and implemented into numerous other forms of communication in the future. These products will allow for people and businesses to communicate with people whose native languages are not of their own language. This would allow for someone whose native language is only English to communicate with people who for example speak Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, or Hindi. This would expand their potential customer base from approximately 300 million English speaking people to 1.9 billion Mandarin Chinese, 400 million Spanish and 260 million Hindi speakers; for a total of another 1.56 billion potential customers that they otherwise would be unable to communicate as easily with.

Game Plan

Our plan is to coordinate between bi lingual translators and application and software designers to create an app that will allow for people to communicate from English to Spanish and from Spanish to English through a text messaging application. The ultimate goal will be to provide application and other software that will allow people with different primary languages to communicate with one another in real time. This software will be through voice communication, text messaging, instant messaging and other forms of communication.

Personal Use

This technology will allow people to communicate withone another for personal, business and government application. These software programs will allow people to communicate with other people on a personal level that they otherwise would not be able to directly communicate with due to language barriers. Family members can more easily communicate with their family members whose primary language is not of those of other generations, for example a grandparent who speaks only their native language (Italian, Japanese, Spanish for example) would be able to communicate with their grandchildren, or children more easily.

Business Use

Businesses would be able to expand their potential customer base by opening new avenues for revenue and in turn profits. An American based English speaking business person or company would be able to more easily communicate and sell their products and services to those of other primary languages. They would expand their potential customer base for example to approximately 1 billion Mandarin Chinese speakers, approximately 400 million Spanish speakers,  as well as an average of 200 to 300 million Hindi, Bengali, Arabic, and Portuguese speakers. This is just the tip of the iceberg when you consider numerous other languages primarily used around the world.
