The American Bystander is an all-star print humor quarterly which collects material from the top comedy writers, illustrators and cartoonists, and publishes it in a handsome trade paperback book format suitable for any coffeetable (or bathroom, if it comes to that).
Issue #6 has work by Merrill Markoe (Letterman), Rick Geary (National Lampoon), Peter Kuper (MAD), Brian McConnachie (Lampoon/SCTV/The Simpsons), Roz Chast (The New Yorker), Mimi Pond (The Customer is Always Right), and many many others.
We have been publishing issues since October 2017, and have raised over $168,000 via crowdfunding platforms. Every issue, new writers and artists come on board; each edition has material from nearly 100 contributors.
The New York Times called us "must-reading for comedy nerds," and Newsweek said "The American Bystander is the last great humor magazine." If you try us, you'll like us.
