My name is Charlena. I'm a mom and teacher who feels that education shouldn't end at school and spiritual education shouldn't end at church. I want to give my child the best and I'm sure you do too! If they have Jesus, they have it all.
Everyone who goes on ahead and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God. Whoever abides in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.2 John 1:9 ESV
Did you know that 60 percent of Americans could not identify even five of the Ten Commandment?
Surveys for the Bible Society found that half [of the children] did not recognize the story of Noah's Ark as coming from the Bible, and many confused Biblical stories with plotlines from well-known films such as Harry Potter.
I wondered, what was my kids' Bible IQ? Do they know the Bible basics like the books of the Bible? Memory Verses? What the Bible says about topics like bullying, honesty,or respect?
So starting with my own children, I tested research based Bible games with a goal to increase Bible literacy because I wanted to develop their ability to open their own Bibles and learn. This is how SpiritED, a safe, web based platform was born. Learn more at SpiritED.com
What Is SpiritED?
We are a small team of folks to believe that we can make something spectacular out of thin air-that is what invention and innovation is all about! We realized that we were on to something HUGE when we realized that kids in children's ministries got angry when we took the game away at the end of our Beta test sessions! Now we need your help bringing SpiritED to web and tablet where kids can play and learn anywhere, anytime!
"I want to play again!" -Noah,5
SpiritED alignes to the Common Core and helps teachers and pastors integrate the games and activities into their curriculum. With your support, we will be able to bring SpiritED to more schools and churches to generate even more engaging content so that kids can play at their own pace!
The Step by Step Framework
My solution is SpiritED a supplemental learning website used to help kids understand the Bible with clear learning goals provided by the Common Core State Standards for each lesson. This solution provides practice and tracks learning so that parents and teacher know what the child has learned and is learning.
From Genesis to Revelation each lesson consists of research and evidence based English Language Arts standards. Kids will read biblical stories that are written at the appropriate reading level as well as play learning games and activities that build their knowledge of truths of the Bible. Kids develop skills needed in the classroom with clear learning goals.
SpiritED has a curriculum homeschoolers and children's ministries will love!
Why Is The Form of the Game Important?
As your child completes each Bible lesson, he or she is guided to the next one and is motivated to continue learning by SpiritED's Tickets and Rewards System. The game empowers kids to take control of their own biblical literacy learning experience with minimal parental support.

What's the Goal?
Our vision is to create a safe online space with no ads, no popups, and no links to other websites in which kids can For this to happen, SpiritED requires the ongoing dedication of our development and education teams.
The initial funding target of $15,000 will allow us to bring SpiritED to the web as a web app and if we reach 40,000 then to Android and Ipad tablets. Based on our feedback from kids, parents and teachers who have played the game, this is the #1 request!
Anything we raise beyond our goal will be invested towards our additional technology roadmap; when we reach our minimum, we will introduce stretch goals, and we'll ask for your feedback to help us decide what to prioritize.
