Alcoholism has been misunderstood by people since man first crushed grapes. Alcoholics are often seen as weak willed individuals who suffer from a lack of character and morals. What is misunderstood is the fact that alcohol is actually the solution to an alcoholics problems, not the problem in itself. Unfortunately, it is a solution that has side effects that can only be described as evil when consumed by someone with alcoholic tendencies.
The purpose of my memoir is to explain the consequences that accompany alcoholic drinking, and the true manifestation of alcoholism in an individual. I hope to educate and inspire, through the horribly tragic experiences I've had, as well as explain how alcoholism is both equally a genetic malady, and a learned coping mechanism.
