Double Victory: Two Warriors in the Fight for Civil Rights During WWII, a feature-length documentary, is the story of the worldwide tour taken by A.M.E. Bishop John A. Gregg on behalf of FDR during 1943 and 1944. Chaplain John A. DeVeaux, Sr. (US Army), was his military escort.
National Archive footage, articles, interviews, photos, maps, and artifacts are used to tell the story. Interviewees include professors, authors, veterans, Ambassadors, Australian Red Cross volunteers, and the former Civilian Aide to the Secretary of War during WWII.
Thanks to a team of generous professionals, principal photography has been completed. However, we need to raise $20,000 to fully finalize the business end of this film, which includes documentation, attorney review, errors and omissions insurance, etc. - all of the non-glamorous parts that make the glamorous film distribution parts possible. We are offering perks based on the level of donation.
