Cuboid Fever

New Challenges for an Old Toy

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uuJAkvDC68E&t=10s

Our purpose creating Cuboid Fever is to provide with an ingenious device to keep that wandering part of the brain occupied. Cuboid Fever combines different patterns of the old Snake Cube game into a new functional and unique package, to become a tool of self-regulation of the most effective and useful attention.

The new Cuboid Fever Snake Cube can be a fun gift and its novel combinations can help relieve the stress of many people.

What is Fidgetting? What is a Fidget Toy?

Fidgeting, also known as restlessness or wiggling nervously, is the act of moving restlessly. This can be the result of nervousness, agitation, boredom or a combination of these states. Fidgeting may involve playing with your fingers, hair, or clothing items.

A common act of restlessness is to bounce a leg repeatedly, as well as to touch a ring, or rotate and rotate along a table incessantly. It is often considered to move continuously as a bad habit, especially in schoolchildren.

Fidgeting is generally considered a nervous habit, often related to the lack of discipline and self-control, although a number of underlying benefits have recently been found. People who regularly struggle tend to weigh less than people who do not fret because they burn more calories than those who are still. It has been reported that it also burns about 350 extra calories a day.

At the same time, research by Dr. Karen Pine and her colleagues at the University of Hertfordshire found out that children who were allowed to move with their hands performed better in memory and learning tests.

That is why, and for a long time, there are toys that are used to channel these seemingly uncontrollable energies. A Fidget Toy is not a mere anti-stress game picked up at a fair or a random object with which you might be fiddling long during a meeting or work session.

For the purpose of distraction? To evade responsibility? Not at all. It has been scientifically proven to focus that “restless” part of the mind in a relatively easy task. Simply manipulate an articulated object to help increase overall concentration, which can also be fun.

Besides, Fidget Toy is a generally small object (preferably one that fits in the hand), which can be squeezed, pulled or moved in some way. Fidget Toys come in all shapes, sizes and textures for all tastes. Objects such as stress balls, tangled elastics and others can be used as Fidget Toy to promote movement and tactile input that is critical for the learning of some students and many adults.

Fidget Toys are affordable, easily understandable and attractive to all ages and genres. That is why there is the Snake Cube, a Fidget Toy. The same that us, Cuboid Fever, want to help to improve.

Benefits of Fidget Toys

However, how can we help each person to control their movements and actually improve their concentration and learning? A Fidget Toy could not be the obvious choice.

Understandably, a Fidget Toy could quickly become a distraction for many so it is important to set clear boundaries regarding the use of these in the classroom or work sessions. But, Fidget Toys have been shown to be useful self-regulating tools that help concentration, attention, calmness and active listening.

Research on Fidget Toys shows that if the person's constant movement can be directed, learning can be improved since movement is essential for learning because it allows the individual to use both left and right hemispheres of the brain.

In addition to other research confirming the importance of movement and sensory input while learning, learning is enhanced when movements are introduced, as documented through case studies and a comprehensive understanding of human cognition and learning of the students.

In a video on Child Development, two boys around the age of 12 were placed in two different classrooms with headphones, listening to a lecture on brain development. One of the boys was told to sit still and just listen to the lecture.

The other boy also had to listen to the same lecture, but he was allowed to hold, squeeze and bounce a tennis ball at the same time. In the end, each child was asked to remember some key points of the conference.

Surprisingly, the amount of knowledge the boy allowed to "move" could get from the conference was greater in comparison to the other boy who was told to stay still.

Evidently, there could have been other factors that contributed to the different amounts of information these guys could remember, but it was quite apparent that being able to engage both the mind and the body simultaneously made a big difference.

What is a Snake Cube and what we offer

Obviously, the Snake Cube is a Fidget Toy: small, affordable, easily understandable and attractive to all ages and genres. Also known as Hamiltonian Cube, it is an old craft mechanical puzzle, often made of wood. It consist of a chain of 27 little cubes, connected by an elastic band running through them. The little cubes can rotate freely and the aim of the play is to arrange the chain in such a way that they will form 3 x 3 x 3 cube.

Traditionally, the Snake Cube is usually made following the same old combination of small cubes. In fact, who already knows the solution will not discover in a regular Snake Cube any new challenge.

That is why Cuboid Fever presents new combinations of the Snake Cube, at fair prices and in an attractive display. That is: new fun challenges that you can afford and take to your home, workplace, holidays or wherever you want.
