About this project
We feel everyone on planet earth has a stake in projects that uplift humanity – those that touch the human soul by exploring the human condition; tragedy, triumph, love, hope happiness and despair. We must help promote projects like BBTWD that inspire, uplift and motivate us towards positive change. They must be seen, heard and felt as frequently as possible by as many as possible to effect WORLD CHANGE and promote INDIVIDUAL HEALING. This is how we help COUNTER HATE. This is how we STAND UP for what’s right. This is how we begin to UNDERSTAND and EMBRACE our DIFFERENCES. This is how we DEVELOP EMPATHY for one another. This is how we UNITE. This is how we SAVE LIVES. This is how we DO OUR PART in a world that seems overwhelmed with negativity.
We hope that everyone joins our plight to share BLINDSIDED (BBTWD) around the world. I’m sure you can agree that there is no time more important than now. No contribution is too small. Every little bit or great BIG bit will help. You will be better because of it. We will be better because of you and the world will be better because of OUR united efforts to share OUR project of TRUTH and LOVE.
Please contribute and then encourage one other person to do the same and together we can make this beautiful world brighter by helping to change lives for the better, one show at a time.

The show runtime is 1hr 45mins during which time IronE Singleton plays more than 20 different characters ranging from all walks of life to tell his life story growing up destitute in the inner city projects of Atlanta through his college career and time on the football field at the University of Georgia. After taking his audience on a tour of his experience being cast in major productions such as The Blind Side and The Walking Dead, the production concludes with an explosive ending.
In summary, BLINDSIDED by the Walking Dead is a show that makes you feel passionate about living, with a need to live on purpose with a sense of connection with all of humanity ...all while making you hysterically laugh out loud. The production covers a spectrum of societal topics:
- Maintaining Healthy Relationships

- Leadership & Responsibility

- Alternatives to Violence
- Drugs & Sexual Promiscuity
- AIDS Awareness and more
It is for anyone who has encountered tragedy, conflict, or loss...for anyone needing hope, inspiration, a fresh perspective or just wanting to laugh out loud and be well entertained. It is for young ladies, single ladies, single mothers, young men, fathers, athletes, scholars and aspiring actors. It is for those who love theatre, comedy, philosophy, poetry, dance, rap or just wanting to witness a man pull off a 1hr 45mins high-energy show all while interacting with himself on stage and bravely tearing down the fourth wall to interact with the crowd then jumping back into character and not missing a beat. It is for everyone that is misunderstood and crying out for opportunity and justice and for those wanting a glimpse into the psyche of a young man in America. It is for the betterment of humanity... a show that unites and promotes truth and love.
This is only the beginning. Your contributions will guarantee us the opportunity to take BBTWD to 3 locations around the world and perform a minimum of 6 shows, but we will not stop there. If you help us exceed our goal, we will have the extra funding to add more shows add more cities. We will also use box office proceeds to help fund the cost for future cities/countries as well! Where do we go first? You, our backers will determine that. We will take the show to a major city location of the home state/country where most of our funding is contributed. For example, If we have 500 backers pledging $96,000 as follows:
- $40,000 is contributed by 250 backers in New York
- $26,000 is contributed by 40 backers in Georgia
- $15,000 is contributed by 30 backers in Illinois
- $10,000 is contributed by 20 backers in Oklahoma
- $2,500 is contributed by 10 backers in U.K.
- $2,500 is contributed by 150 backers in California
.... we take the show to New York, Georgia, Illinois, and Oklahoma. If we gain funds in excess of our budget, we take the show to the U.K., California and the remaining contributing locations within the allowance of the budget. If we do not reach our goal of $108,000, none of this will be possible.
We determined our project goal which is currently to raise sufficient funding for a 6 show or more mini-tour of BBTWD.
We determined a budget to fund the tour. We based this on overhead for previous productions and determined it would require a minimum of $96,000 (detailed above) to cover all expenses for 6 shows and associated fees for a successful campaign.
We set a deadline to reach our goal which we've established as Friday, November 17, 2017.
You pledge whatever your heart desires. The smallest contributions, as little as $1 will help bring us closer to our goal. Remember, the bigger your pledge, the greater the reward. We have a detailed list of rewards at each pledge level in the right column and descriptions further down in this section.
If we reach our goal by the deadline, your credit card is charged for your pledge amount, we will produce a minimum of 6 shows for BBTWD in 3 locations around the world between December 2017 and December 2018. You will receive your wonderful rewards and together, we help make the world a better place, one show at a time.
If we exceed our goal, we produce even MORE shows in even MORE locations and we celebrate your wonderful support even MORE.
If we do not reach our goal by the deadline, your credit card is NOT charged, we do NOT get a penny, you do NOT get any amazing rewards and EVERYONE is a wee bit disappointed.
Our sincere and endless gratitude is extended to every one of you helping us reach our goal. We will certainly make every dollar count towards as many productions of BBTWD as financially possible and hope to tour your city or a city near you very soon so you can personally enjoy IronE's performance of BBTWD. Until then, here are just a few of the many other unique and valuable prizes we are offering our backers...
Actor, Author, Writer, Lyricist, Emcee, Inspirer IronE Singleton is best known to audiences as the menacing kingpin Alton in the Academy® Oscar Award-nominated film THE BLIND SIDE; the biggest box office grossing sports movie of all time. He is also known as the compassionate tough guy, T-Dog, in the Emmy, AFI & WGA Award-winning, Golden Globe-nominated TV show THE WALKING DEAD; one of basic cable's highest rated shows for viewership. IronE's unusual name depicts his life story, his ability to play strong, multidimensional characters and has made him a memorable actor in both film and television.
Singleton appears on the big screen alongside Bow Wow and Ice Cube in LOTTERY TICKET. He stars alongside Nicolas Cage, Guy Pearce and January Jones in the feature film SEEKING JUSTICE and captivates the Lifetime audience in his leading role as "Glock" Nichols with Neve Campbell in AN AMISH MURDER. Singleton’s talent is on display in several television pilots, including ABC’s DETROIT 1-8-7, VH1’s SINGLE LADIES, and TNT’s FRANKLIN & BASH. Among his other television credits are CW’s ONE TREE HILL and BET’s SOMEBODIES.
Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, Singleton’s story embodies everything we have come to understand about the lives of many inner-city youths growing up in low-income housing projects. Fatherless and having lost his mother to HIV/AIDS when he was a senior in high school and watched his brother spend most of his life in Georgia’s prison system, IronE fought to have a life far different from the one he knew growing up. The “irony” of his story is that, while all the odds were stacked against him, IronE Singleton still overcame his troubled childhood to attend the University of Georgia (UGA) on academic and football scholarships where he completed a double major in Theater and Speech Communications.
"An eagle in flight with an unbroken spirit", would be my guiding theme as IronE. Electrifying, energetic, enigmatic, enlightened, empowered, I could be whatever I wanted to be. I was soaring upward and onward, far beyond the physical and mental limitations socialization, environment, genetics, stereotypes, statistics, and history had placed on me. The irony that a "nobody" from "nowhere" could defy the odds and do what no one in my family had done before? The pundits might say, "Never! No way! No how!" But I would respectfully disagree. I was IronE. I hoped the name would also help crack the ice and drive interest, giving me the opportunity to tell my story in hopes of inspiring other would-be IronE's in the world. I thank you for helping give me the opportunity to do so with BLINDSIDED by the Walking Dead.
You too, are now an IronEagle."
Risks and challenges
A theatrical production can be costly. Our biggest production challenges have always been marketing and ultimately funding. These two challenges, challenge one another: Without funding, a marketing campaign suffers and without an effective marketing campaign, a production likely does not produce sufficient funding for future productions. This is why we reach out to you to help us overcome these barriers so we may share the production on a larger scale.
Why are we so sure the production is polished and ready to tour?...
I have successfully performed BBTWD over 10 times in multiple cities across the country and our production company/crew is equipped with the in-house technology, equipment and talent necessary to perform the show in a large theatrical venue or a modest size hotel conference room with the same powerful effect. The show has ALWAYS received a standing ovation and we have NEVER received a negative performance review. However, funding has always limited our ability to get the word out and to get seats filled resulting in more overhead than our box-office proceeds could cover. We have many, many requests by people around the world asking, "When is the next performance of BBTWD?". They have pleaded with me to bring the show to their town. We hope with their help and all your help promoting and contributing generously to this campaign, more people around the world will be able to enjoy and be inspired by another performance of the life changing BBTWD in the near future.
We also want to make sure that EVERY contributor receives ALL rewards on time as promised. You can help us reach this goal!
In October, we will send out your reward survey asking for your delivery information. Please take the time to complete it fully and accurately so we can make sure you receive your rewards successfully and on time!
We thank you in advance for helping us overcome the hurdle that stands between us and positive change.
With sincerest gratitude,
