American Band Family - A Wonky Documentary
American Band Family - A Wonky Documentary

This project has already launched.

The story of our wonky, musically gifted family touring the US, performing together, and our crazy misadventures. We happen to places.

Why we do what we do
Through the generations, family seems less and less important. Our purpose with this documentary is to stress the importance of family and working together. Everyone in our family contributes to this project in some fashion or form. From our daughters designing our logo to our son adding in some crazy antics, our family works together in a very unique and entertaining way. Fortunately for us, everyone in our family is musically gifted and we share that musical bond. Teaching our children the music industry and that dreams should be pursued is vital to our project. So many times in life we give up on our dreams and always look back wondering “what if.” We believe if people truly want to experience life, they need to remove the “what if” and start asking “why not?” Not only is this musical family on tour, but we also have crazy adventures as well. There isn’t a limit on what this family won’t try. From roofing old movie theaters in the Arizona summer heat to hiking down treacherous canyons to exploring ghost towns to building a trailer in Harbor Freight’s parking lot, our adventures will keep you wondering what will happen next. Our spontaneity is what intrigues most people.
FUNDING How you can help
We started filming on this project in March of 2017 and we need your help to complete our dream. Creating a documentary of a family that tours, performs together, and just has many misadventures can be pricey. Video and audio editing, as well as, renting studio space for recording is vital to the success of this endeavor. Your support will also help us make much needed improvements on our sound equipment and video recording equipment. Also touring becomes expensive. Realistically, our project needs nine (9) months to be completed with filming and editing and you can help make this a reality. We’ve started our project in Arizona, then New Mexico, Idaho, Nevada, and Colorado. Many more locations to come.
LOCATION Where we plan to go
Much of our documentary will be on the road, on location, and basically, happening as our family experiences life.

Risks and challenges

How we will pull it off
With cameras rolling nearly twenty-four hours a day and seven days a week, our family will be fully transparent. Throughout the project, detailed updates will be available to all of our backers so you can see what our family is up to. We already have a Facebook page, website and blog rolling, so you can stay up-to-date with our project and where we are next. Once we have the footage we need for the documentary, editing will start and it won’t be long before you’re able to see the finished project.

Accomplishing the dream
With every project are the challenges. We expect challenges that we’ll need to overcome. One thing you’ll learn about our family is we very much are a people of our word and when we set our mind to something, it will be done. Challenges with our project will be posted for backers to be aware of. Who knows? If we have a challenge arise, you may be the one who helps us think of another solution. Our fans and support base are highly important to us and we want you to be a part of this with us.
