With Alien Cartoon the designer, throwing herself into a futurist
Africa, one overrun by fantastic and naïve creatures, asks herself a
multitude of questions on the façade of this parallel city, the style of
its inhabitants and the modes of transport that would exist in it.
Save the Old Lady
Not merely an artistic manifestation which combines performances,
installations, music and a fashion show, Alien Cartoon will also be
the climax of an entire movement; the campaign to Save the Old
Lady, launched by artist collective Les Petites Pierres, which aims to
save and rehabilitate the deserted space of the Dakar train station.
