I will create a book of artistic photos and adventure inspiration, called “9,000 Miles in a Tent Trailer: Exploring North America’s Wild Places”. It will include budgeting details, getting back to basics, food, gear, maps, rivers, mountains, stars, must sees from California to Alaska and of course, a tent trailer.
Taking roadtrips in our own backyard is amazing and underrated. I want to get younger people excited about seeing America first, and the great expanses and public land preserves unique to the West and Alaska.
I will do my best to capture the raw beauty of these untouched landscapes, the majestic animals that inhabit them, and our little tent trailer experience through it all. I will take the best of the photos to create a coffee table book of art, inspiration and details for those interesting in making a similar trek.
To fund the project, $3,000 will be required. This money will be allocated towards gas, any campsites that are not free (most will be free), food, other supplies, and putting together books. Motivation to help fund will include fine art prints, postcards, funding recognition in the book, and for highest donors, a copy of the final book.
